Useful Information

What makes our buildings superior to most on the market?…

All our buildings (excluding tanalised timber buildings) are dip treated (not sprayed)…

The entire panel is completely submerged into a tank containing wood preserver.
This enables the preserver to soak into the timber and is far better than methods which are purely superficial…

Mortice and Tenoned doors…

All our buildings have joinery made mortice and tenoned doors…

Georgian windows and doors…

All buildings which have georgian windows and doors have attractive routered glazing bars…

Verandah floors…

When boarding verandah floors we always leave a gap between each board, so that water can run away and isn’t left standing on the floor itself…

Shaped spindles

All spindles used on our verandas are shaped to give that extra finishing touch.

Bottom board left short…

The bottom board on all panels is left above the height of the spars on the floor. This is to avoid contact with the base to avoid water ingression which would eventually lead to rotting…

Intermediate spars in roof…

We use a centre (intermediate) spar in all our roofs for greater strength…

Will it fit?…

When choosing a building and suitable location in your garden please bear in mind that we need some space to get round it during the installation process…
It is also very important to remember that some buildings, especially the bigger ones, have large sections which may not go through doorways, archways, garages round restricted corners etc….
Please always speak to us if you have any doubts or concerns…

What base do I need?…

The better the base – the better the building! All buildings (except for greenhouses) come complete with floor which have joists running underneath… However these joists must sit on a suitably prepared level and solid base, ideally concrete or flags… Concrete or timber batons (3″ x 3″) may be used in addition or as an alternative to concrete or flags… where used as an alternative to a concrete or flag base, the area would have to be levelled and prepared with a bed of lime stone or gravel… These batons need to run the opposite way to the floor joists… Please contact us to check… It would not be suitable to place batons straight onto the ground as they will gradually sink, and the use of batons should not be seen as an alternative to providing a prepared area… We can supply 3″ x 3″ tanalised timber batons at extra cost (to go onto your prepared ground)…<H/4>

I’m ready to order!…

Once you decide which building you would like, then find the delivery charge for your area by clicking delivery from the main menu. Some areas are free delivery. All delivery charges include installation.
After that simply contact us to place an order. Payment can be made by card or cheque (We make a charge of 2% for credit card payments, there is no charge to debit cards). Once payment has been made we will send you a letter advising what date we can deliver your building. Please tear off the slip and return to us ASAP to confirm the delivery date is acceptable. We regret we are unable to give an expected time of arrival, it is not always necessary for you to be there when we deliver, providing we can gain access to the base.

We reserve the right to alter the specification as the need arises… All sizes are nominal.

To compliment our buildings we offer a range of optional extras.
